PARTNERSHIP
We produce significant amounts of food waste every day. Nevertheless, unfortunately, it often ends up in landfills, where it does not break down properly, rotting and producing methane – a harmful greenhouse gas 25x more potent than carbon dioxide. That is terrible news for the environment, directly impacting climate change.
On average, a school with 300 students can generate 34kg of waste a week, and this is just taking into account classroom breaks. We want to invite teachers and students to learn how to properly compost their food waste and help cut climate change from the curriculum with this partnership.
